My First Blog: Maximum Ride

Okay so, this is my first blog entry on my first ever blog. I've always wanted to have one and now that I do, I don't really know what to write about... So here goes!
I love to read, plain and simple. My favorite authors include Dan Brown, Daniel Quinn, Theodore Geisel (aka Dr.Seuss) and Mary Hoffman. James Patterson however is slowly falling off of my list though.
Maximum Ride was one of my favorite series. That is until I started reading MAX. It's not that it's not good it's just that well, it's not good. It went from this high flying adventure to a cliche "save the world" book. I feel that with it's increasing fame, the writing has become more and more basic and lacks a certain craftsmanship that I once loved about it. now it's Max and her lesser important gang versus the "big corporations" Max seems to be a lot more focused on her own self than anyone else. I love the environment and I understand that James Patterson is trying to get a very important message across. I just wish that he would have done so in a more clever and artistic way. I must admit that I have yet to finish the book, but I have read enough to know that I am rather disappointed. It used to be hard to put the Maximum Ride books down. Now I'm fighting to get to the next chapter. I really want to like it but I don't think it's working out.

What do you think about the book/series? Is it worth finishing?

Yours Truly,
Shady
